We close the session with healthy snack time (it’s amazing how much toast 15 toddlers can devour in a short space of time) followed by singing and sometimes parachute play. So why not join our lovely group of mums, dads, grandparents and carers if you have an hour to spare on a Friday.
The Congregational Busy Babies and Toddler group (affectionately known as CBBs) meets every Friday from 9.30 to 11.00am, during term-time, in the Congregational Church Lounge for a morning of fun, creativity and social interaction (and that’s just the grown ups!). Each week we try to include a painting table, gluing/creating activity, a playdough table and often a messy play activity such as sand, coloured rice, cooked spaghetti etc which is always a great hit with everyone except those of us who have to clear up afterwards!
The babies particularly enjoy investigating the heuristic play baskets which stimulate their sensory perception and encourage experimentation. On the other hand the older toddlers and pre-schoolers love the role play activities including dressing up, a lovely wooden kitchen, dolls houses, garages and a wooden farm.
